In Melbourne, Fila made a cool return, with players in two NEW Collections. The women’s 2018 Heritage designs echo the same red, white, and blue as seen in 2017, and the Set Point Line brings brighter blues for men.

It seems the pros only have two style options at the Australian Open – a bright pastel or a conservative uniform. Fortunately, Fila’s spring sets are more than ready to dress players in both colorways. Their women’s court apparel, coming soon, keeps to tradition and is always great for players seeking outfits for their tennis club or school team.

Friday, the former world No. 1, Karolina Pliskova is set to match up against Lucie Safarova in the Round of 32. Both players are of the Czech Republic. The Ace Queen’s as seen on tv FILA look features horizontal stripes, a change from last year’s vertical.

ATP World No. 6 Marin Cilic will meet with Ryan Harrison in the round of 32 on Thursday night. He already produced a straight-set win on the blue courts – with seven aces in the match. At Melbourne Park, Cilic fist-pumped in a Fila Men’s Polo constructed with a Lake Blue panel in front and white color blocked sleeves. He also set up for powerful points in white shorts, with blue piping details, on bottom.

No. 16 ranked John Isner had a short presence at the open in his first round match against Australian hometown hero, and fellow Fila player, Matthew Ebden. Isner’s court kit is a solid and conservative look, suitable for every day. The Lake Blue color makes the fabric shine in the light and shows off the top’s texture. As well, the top has a double stripe detail that contoured Isner’s chest during action.
