At Tennis Express, we strive to give back to the tennis community, and one way we do that is by supporting local tournaments. The USTA National Women’s Clay Court Championships are held each April in Houston, TX, and play host to the nation’s top senior tennis players, who range from 35 to 90+ years of age. This year, Tennis Express has donated two stylish and fashion-forward outfits to the tournament’s charity auction, the National Senior Women’s Tennis Association’s largest yearly fundraiser.
EleVen by Venus’ Women’s Center Stage Cap Sleeve Tennis Top in White from the Intrepid collection was one of our donations. This top is great for a player who prefers coverage. The raglan cap sleeves and higher neckline are popular for those wanting to protect their skin from the sun. Geometic design and detail absolutely flatters anyone that slips this on by bringing in the waist. This top is a great representation of the entire collection because of the keyholes in the back that are one of a kind!
The outfit comes to life with the Women’s 13 Inch Spin Tennis Skort in Intrepid Print. This skirt looks layered, but know that the fabric is lightweight and sweat-wicking! We imagine that was Venus’ first task in designing her apparel! This skort sits comfortably on the player’s waist for a secure and supportive fit so they can focus on reading their opponent!
The owner of the next outfit at auction is going to love the all-American, almost varsity look of the Fila Women’s Heritage Short Sleeve Tennis Top in Navy and Chinese Red. Fila fabric is stretchy and true to fit, which leaves room for a comfortable and appropriate fit. The short sleeves, like Venus’, are designed with raglan sleeves to allow full range of motion. Get ready to slip this on quickly and get out in the sun as this is going to come complete with UV protection. So go ahead and practice until perfect! This is going to make you feel all the breeze that rushes by as you jolt to the net. The contrast colors were huge for Fila this year, so stay trendy, tennis ladies.
