The Gamma Progression 200 stringing machine uses a drop weight tension mechanism, 2 point mounting system, and a plated steel bar turntable for easy and quick stringing. This is the first stringing machine I purchased. I love the performance and the design and color also. I wished the starting clamp was included w/ the package.It would help me a lot.

I think for the price range, this is an affordable entry level stringing machine. I did my first stringing with this. The set up putting the pieces together was not hard. One thing I noticed when I strung a polyester string was that the tension bar slowly dropped below horizontal after the initial tension pull. I did this maybe 5-6 times and it was still pulling tension at the set tension requirement. This made the string job much longer. Not sure how accurate the tension is. However, its fun I guess if youve never strung a racquet before and its quite easy. Besides pulling tension, the only difficulty I had with this machine is pulling tension when tying knots. When the string is rewound into the proper grommet hole, this machine, because of the clamps, does not allow you to accurately pull the appropriate tension on a particular section . I would recommend when stringing to raise the tension as recommended on other informative websites because the end result with the same tension as

Great Starter Machine

This is my first stringing machine and I decided to find something that was pretty low budget in case I decided to go back to paying to have my racquet strung instead of doing it myself.
The machine was very simple to understand and came with a bevvy of tools to make the job simpler. I took to YouTube to find a couple of stringing instructional videos and made my first attempt.
I can say that the machine was very easy to use and I am confident with some practice it will serve me very well. I used a tensionmeter to check the string tension shortly after stringing my racquet and it checked the same as the racquet my usual stringing pro had done.
If you are on a budget and considering stringing your own racquets, this would be a great place to start.
