great feel and accuracy
5/5
The Liquidmetal 8 has an amazing feel to it - It is light and I added lead tape to give it more power and it still has a head-light feel to it - With it strung at 58 lbs it has great grip on the ball for topspin serves and is also great for a big flat serve. Playing doubles on Hard-Tru you need a racquet you can whip around quickly and still generate power. The touch on this racquet is just great for lobs and drop volleys and a lot of power can be gererated with big sweeping groundstrokes - just great! - Nothing like the "warclub" feel and momentum of other racquets

Solid racket
4/5
Prior to this racket I had been using a basic oversized $20 Modell's racket. I read great reviews on this racket so I thought it would work well. I'm happy with this racket, but I haven't noticed a huge difference in my performance. I do seem to get consistent shots, but my forehand is no better or worse. My backhand is more consistent. It hasn't been a miracle racket, but it does the job.

I bought this racquet at a very reasonable price. However, because it had apparently been in inventory for some time, it needed to be restrung immediately, which I did, at 59 lbs. I think I got good value for my money, and I really like the appearance of the racquet. I had previously bought nothing, but Wilson racquets.

Racquet rating
4/5
I purchased this racquet based on the size, weight and reported performance. Im an above average player so I needed power and control, yet the ability to have more spin. The raquet has performed well thus far but sometimes it feels like it needs additional shock/vibrator absorbtion attachments because it vibrates. Otherwise, I love that its lightweight and easy to manuever.

I was away from tennis for 35 years before I decided to give it another try. This racquet is so light I had to open the cover to see if it was inside! The Liquidmetal 8 has made my return to tennis a real joy and I was surprised how forgiving it is on off-center hits.

I started playing tennis again about a year ago after being away for 20 years. I started with some used Babolats and was improving but I decided to go with the Head Liquidmetal 8. I was hesitant because the specs said for players 2.5 - 4.0 and I was currently a 3.0-3.5. Let me say my shots are stronger and deeper and I am much more confident at the net. I play a lot with 4.5 and 4.5 players and have won 3 matches since getting this racket. My next racket will be the Liquidmetal 4 if I ever outgrow this one!!!

I recently purchased by third LM8. The other two are 3 + years old and holding up very well. I have been playing since the 70s Jack Kramer wood days and Im still playing at 4.5 level. Ill admit Im slower and I only play doubles. I can find no fault with this racket. Volleys, slice, and top spin are exceptional with this racket. Its not that stiff or head heavy, therefor its easy on the elbow. Sting it with 17g Head rip control maybe add some weight and life is sweet.

After reading all the reviews I Was really hoping to get a GREAT racquet. Was very disappointed, it is an OKAY racquet, I am comparing it to my old, cheaper head Tis-6. Number one issue strings feel old and loose. Sweet spot seems to be very small and hard to find . Overall feels okay in hand I hope changing strings will help but that is additional 30-50 $. Would not recommend it.

Head Liquidmetal 8
4.66666666667/5
I would consider myself a recreational tennis player, and on any given week I play between three to five days a week. I was satisfied with my racquet, but I am always seeking improvements to my game and stay competitive. After reading an article about racquet performance I considered a change and found that the Head Liquidmetal 8 was highly rated. I searched for the best price, which I found at Tennis Express and ordered the racquet out of pure curiosity. My tennis partner was on a trip when I ordered the racquet, and hoped that I would have it in time for my next game. A few days later much to my surprise the box was sitting next to my front door, and like a child at Christmas I eagerly opened the box. From the moment I had this racquet in my hand I was amazed at the balance and general feeling of power the racquet had. I immediately took the racquet, a bag of balls, and my dog to the court. I began working on my serves and was astonished at the control, pace, and accuracy.

I play tennis occasionally. For quite awhile I have been using other brands of racquets and decided to try this racquet. Wanted a larger head size for doubles with a larger sweet spot. I play 4.0 doubles. Good racket if you want to keep ball in play but dont expect added power. Its for a big swinger like myself and i could put a tremendous amount of spin on it. Sweet spot is not very big and not much response on off center hits. Very light racket. helps with spin on second serve but not much power on flatter first serve.I would recommend for singles not doubles and for those with big loopy swings.

VERY HAPPY!!!
4.66666666667/5
I purchased the Head Liquidmetal 8 about a month ago and I have to say Im very happy with it. Its my first serious racquet and have used it quite a few times already. The weight is perfect and the headsize too. The only reason I havent given it 5 stars is because the strings that the racquet came with, as it was prestrung, make a funny noise sometimes... its a funny noise that I assume it should not make. I had read before that, apparently, the quality of the prestrung racquets is not the best and Im thinking that it might be my case as well. Im curious to know if the noise will persist once I change the strings later on. Overall, Im enjoying it a lot!

Fantastic!
5/5
I bought 4 of these based on reviews, and that they were almost 70 off retail price. Theyre fantastic! They are much lighter than my previous racket, and very easy to play with. They also make an awesome crack sound when hitting the sweet spot. The first time I heard this, I thought I had broken the racket! I have one minor criticism. With the racket being so light, I have trouble generating a lot of power. Also, the website states that they come with a cover. Mine didnt, and Tennis Express didnt reply to my e-mail enquiry about the missing covers.

I began working on my serves and was astonished at the control, pace, and accuracy.

the only complaints from friends who have tried my racquet is that it has too much power for them. Really - is this a bad thing I recommend it for beginners and intermediates...best racquet buy ever.

I recently purchased the Head Liquidmetal 8 Prestrung Tennis Racquet. I am a beginner when it comes to Tennis and I called the customer services folks and requested recommendation. They took the time to understand my game and suggested a few options for me and this was one of them. I have been using the reacquet and love it.

Like Custom Fit
5/5
The Liquidmetal 8 racquet feels like it was custom built for my game. I have owned many different styles of Head Racquets in the past, but this particular one has power and spin control all in one. A real compliment to my game.

Best racquet
5/5
I play tennis occasionally. For quite awhile I have been using other brands of racquets and decided to try this racquet. I have never played better tennis It is so light, the grip is just right and I get a good swing all the time. Less strain on my already strained wrist. I recommend this racquet to everybody.

IMPROVED MY SERVES

Good overall racquet for the weekend player. Its a bit top heavy compared to my previous racquet, and my service game has improved. Still getting used to the racquet, but for the price, would recommend to any mid-level player.

This is the second and third Head Liquidmetal 8s Ive purchased from Tennis Express. Im in my late sixties now and this racquet has the weight, balance and power for my game that allows a quick serve and solid returns even against faster serves. I bought two because the price was right.

Fantastic!
