A long time favorite power racquet makes its return as the Head i.S12 makes a special appearance. Designed for players with compact swings looking for power, every aspect of this frame expresses its desire to provide maximum ball speed. Despite an original design from year ago, the i.S12 is one of the lightest racquets around at only 8.1 ounces strung. Combined with an extended 28" length and large 115sq. in. headsize, players with short swings will love the effortless repulsion and large sweetspot. One of the first frames to use fibers integrated into a graphite matrix, the Intellifibers are made of a piezoelectric ceramic material that are designed to dampen vibration by up to 20%.

Love this racket
I have this racket and wanted a backup with a lightly smaller handle. You got it to me in three days already strung with the string I requested. It is very responsive and gives me great accuracy.
Thanks for the quick response.
Welcome back Big Guy!
They got these back in stock just in time. After 8 years, one of my beloved is12s cracked, so I got a new one. You cant beat the spin. They say its for beginners, but Im a aging 4.5 player. If you look at it wrong, it will break strings because of the open string pattern. Ive had good luck with Head RIP tour 16G stings, or your favorite poly in the mains. It is also very comfortable for a stiff racket. Ive tried many others, but this is the one for me.
This is the best racquet I have played with. The weight distribution is perfect and my serve accuracy and velocity have both improved.
Love this tennis racquet. It feels great in my hand, and my forehand and serve have both improved.
the Bazooka of Tennis!
This raquet explodes with power of the base line. I find it to be fun to use as well as a little surprising with the power and feels good with ground strokes. Overall Im very happy with it!
i s12 Head Racket
This is by far the best racket for senior players, in my opinion. I have purchased three 3 of them. I have sent several iS12s to friends seniors in the UK and they all rave about them.
I have used the IS12 for 9 years and your company finally made some available for purchase--somehow. It is a discontinued model and, having played with the style and lightweight characteristics of this Head racquet for so long, I jumped at the chance when I saw your ad. When the grip size I was seeking was not what you had, you cheerfully offered to put an enlarged grip on the next smaller size that was in stock for a very small fee. Thank you!

Favorite Racquet - Ever!
Ive used this racquet for years and had purchased at least four. Then when I needed #5 they had been discontinued. I kept checking the internet hoping to find another one. When I found it on your website I immediately bought one. Now I plan on purchasing another soon. Im a senior tennis player and the extra power on this racquet is perfect for me. Many thanks for bringing this one back as a option. This one is going with me to Savannah for USTA State this month! It performs well for my game. Thanks.
Racket is too big and has no manuverabilty, powerful ground strokes but no touch at the net. I do not recommend.
This racquet is very powerful but yet doesnt sacrifice control. Its slightly head heavy but is all its billed to be.
Very pleased with handling process. Thank you
Love this racquet
Im sure glad Head decided to bring back this racquet. Ive used it for years and love it. Its balanced, just the right weight and long enough to reach just about every ball.
i.s12 Tennis Racquet
I bought this tennis racquet for my husband. He loves it. It is light and he likes the performance of the racquet. We are in Hilton Head,South Carolina for the winter and had it delivered to our condo. The order process and the effecient delivery of the parcel to our address was excellent. My favorite tennis racquet
In i.S12 racquet I finally found the best racquet for my game. As you probably know, the S12 is made for players with shortest and slowest swings, and I think thats me. I started playing tennis when I was 19 and thus my stroke mechanics are very poor and unrefined, but I compensate that using a lot of wrist action I know thats a no-no in tennis and for that matter a need a super lightweight racquet. And that is the i.S12 from Head. Also, I found that it works great with Prince Playabilty strings 16 for mains and 18 for secondary strings and this is a combination that I dont think I will change anytime soon: it just works great for me. I get all the power and maneuverability I need from my racquet, while the strings provide the touch and feel that I love.
I bought i.S12 tennis racquet after hearing about the racquet from a tennis instructor. I was delighted to find out that I got used to the racquet immediately. I am a woman and have been using light tennis racquets for several years. I had not been happy with the light tennis racquets I had until this one. The i.S12 is light, but it gives strong ground strokes. The light racquet also helps me with my agility when I am at the net under attacks by my opponents. I plan to get another one as a spare racquet.
Need More Time With It
Oddly enough the racket I play with most often is an ancestor of this one. Its a 15 or so year old previous generation Head Titanium i.S7 which I still prefer to the other 5 rackets in my bag. This is now number 2 in the pecking order. The shape is different as the vintage one I play with is a typical oversized guy and this has less surface area. I also feel like I generate more power more easily with the other. That said I have a taller than me - about 6'1 friend who fell in love with this new i.S12 Titanium and promptly bought himself one after sampling mine. His is more of a precision game than mine and it seems to suit him well. Hes also hitting big serves with it deep in the box.

i.12 Tennis racquet
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to review one of the best tennis racquets I have played with in over 50 years of playing tennis. Due to shoulder surgery on my shoulder nine years ago and because of my age of 66 at the time, I came to the conclusion that I needed a light racquet with power and control. Therefore, I purchased the i.s12 and have been extremely satisfied ever since. The three that were purchased before were well used and I was looking for a replacement when I noticed Tennis Express was selling the same racquet as all of the sports stores no longer carried this Head i.S12

i.S12 Tennis Racquet
Thanks for the opportunity to review what I consider is the best tennis racquet I have played with in over 50 years of playing tennis. Ten years ago at the age of 66, I had shoulder surgery and determined that I needed a lighter and more powerful racquet than the one I was using. So I purchased the i.S12 and found that it was exactly what I needed and subsequently purchased two more. All three are now playable but worn so I began a search for a replacement. The racquets I demoed did not have the same power nor sweet spot. With the i.S12, anywhere I hit the ball on the strings feels solid. When I discovered Tennis Express was now carring the i.S12, I immediately ordered one as none of the sports stores no longer carry this particular Head racquet
After demoing a lot of new rackets, I chose this most recent iteration of my favorite racket for the last ten years. Its the perfect combination of power, accuracy and light weight that works for me. I am a senior 4.0 player.
i am a senior 4.0 player who has been looking for a light weight over size racket with power and ccntrol. The head i.s12. has met all my desires. With the light weight & elongated shape I feel my serve has improved with more power & accuracy.
To All Concerned-
I was at a tennis tournament in Oregon and had broken during a match, my most favorite racquet. A friend mentioned that Tennis Exrpress had phenominal service and that perhaps I should try purchasing a second racquet and have it sent directly to where we were staying.
I logged on to the Tennis Express site and they in fact had the exact racquet that I needed....I thought that this particular racquet was discontiued.
To make a long story short, the customer service person took my CC info and within a day I had that racquet in my hands!
Although I didnt make it to the FINALS of our tournament, I consider myself a WINNER for having delt with TENNIS EXPRESS. I will forever more be grateful the selfless service and courtesy of those at TENNIS EXPRESS. Im now a solid customer and will visit TENNIS EXPRESS again for my sports needs.
thank you Thank You THANK YOU for all of you who were involved in taking care of me and my team!
head 1s12 racket
im a senior 4.0 player and find this racket to be everything i want in a racket. its light weight gives me more swing speed, the oversize head gives me good power & the elongated shape has improved my serve.i had been using the wilson hi outer edge & found it to be to head heavy
HEAD i.S12 Tennis Racquet
Best Racquet Ive ever used. Great sweetspot, power, control and so light! Discounted so I wanted a back-up and at a great price here at TE.
This racket was recommended by my pro, who remembered playing with it in the past. Out of the box, I noted its lightness and large hitting area. My strokes had more pace and my serve was stronger.
On balls that were hit very hard toward me, I learned not to take the racket all the way back but take a short back swing. It resulted in a hard return to my opponent taking less time for preparation and avoiding my ball from going long. My volleys were crisp and groundstrocks stronger. When getting to a backhand late, my weak hit resulted in the ball going deeper on the other side. The people I play with noticed a difference in my play.
I have been so pleased with it that I ordered another one for back up.
