MicroGel technology is the combination of a low density material, called Head MicroGel, with stiff and strong carbon composite fibers to create a racquet with incredible responsive qualities. This will cause the racquet to, upon impact with the ball; uniformly distribute the shock from the impact all around the racquet easing up the pressure on the elbow while also creating an even and superb feel. Also included with this design is a wider than normal head shape that will allow the ball more space to move along the string bed thus creating more spin.
Similar to previous versions of the Radical (the Flexpoint Radical, the Liquidmetal Radical, the Agassi Radical, etc.), this tennis racquet offers plenty of control with a good amount of spin and a moderately heavy weight plus the enhancements due to the addition of the MicroGel. This is an excellent option for those players with long and fast strokes who are looking for a control oriented racquet that isn`t too far on the heavy side.
This racquet comes prestrung with Head Sonic Pro white at 57lbs. It does not come with a cover.
Note: This racquet does not come with a cover.

This racquet is amazing. It is a bit lighter than the older liquid metal I was playing with and has great feel. I would strongly recommend this product.
Great , stable racquet.
Racquet feels great in your hand and has excellent stability when hiting the ball.
MicroGel Head Racket
I have been very pleased with racket, this is the first Head Racket I have owned. The head was a little smaller than anticipated but I am getting used to it now and really like it especially on serves.
I just got this racket and I love it. It is a balanced racket. It gives me great control on my shots which Ive been lacking. Also it gives me power when I need it.
Good for me !
It is hard to compare raquets since there are a lot of factors involved and that I cant try a lot of them at the same time.
However I can say that this raquet, which is earlier version of the Youtek Radical, is very versatile and fits my game very well.
I feel in control, can hit shots well when out of balance, and gives me some power when I really need it.
As for the weaknesses, hard to say, I think that the guy holding it is mostly responsible : ...
Conclusion : for the price, 90$, I cant complain and I dont feel the newer Head radical models justifies the price difference.

Perfect Combination of power and control.
I loved the racquet, and I have not found any think wrong with the racquet so far. Its a very good deal, at least for me.
A great racquet for a great price!
I am a high school tennis player who plays for a club 4 hrs a day and the Head MicroGel Radical MP Tennis racquet is the best racquet I have ever used. It is light weight and has a perfect balance between power and control. My groud strokes are much sharper and crisp and this racquet allows me to hit my ground strokes with more power. This racquet also gives me more pop on my serve. It does take a little getting used to if you arent used to a lighter weight racquet, but after a couple days of breaking it in, my tennis game now has a huge advantage. The MicroGel Radical MP is my new racquet of choice and is a very affordable option for everyone.
This racket is perfect for those like me, who are in an intermediate level, as it provides control and stability.
Additionally it has an excellent price which is almost unbeatable.
Microgel Radical MP
Great racquet!! This was my first racquet. Its a great racquet for beginner/intermediate or even pro players. Its a very popular racquet. Every tourney I went to had at least one player using this racquet. Its a closed string pattern, but you get a good amount of power and control. Its not too heavy and not too light. If youre looking for something cheap, this racquet is something you cannot overlook! Perfect for the price!
I bought this raquet my first year of playing and its a great raquet. it takes some getting used to the small racquet head but once you figure out the sweet spots you can get alot more power out of the raquet
I had an oversized Head Flexpoint Radical and it was suggested that I move to a mid size as my game has improved. Rather than get the latest and greatest that Head now sells, I thought the Microgel Radical MP would be a good compromise and I was right! I have more control with my shots and the racquet is comfortable without putting strain on my elbow I suffer from tennis elbow. A great choice!
I bought this racquet to help alleviate some elbow pain and give me some control on my ground stokes. I definitely see an improvement in elbow pain and the racquet distributes ball contact well throughout the racquet. The racquet has great weight and balance and seems to almost swing itself through the ball without any muscling of the racquet. Serving is nice too as the head light feature helps get the racquet through very nicely. I like the stick a lot!!
I Love It For The Most Part
I love this racquet. Everything about it is amazing. I made an extremely competitive high school team with this. I think that it is good for everything, except for put away shots. If you go for too much, the racquet can get away from you. Except for that, I love IT.
HEAD MicroGel Radical Head Tennis Racquet
This racquet matches the options that I need to improve my game. This racquet is powerful and has a lot of control. Also, it helps with top spin. I looked high and low for these options and I found that this racquet is the perfect price. I got 2 of them and I wish I ordered more. I LOVE IT.

Thats the one!
This is a very good performance racquect!!! The best one!!!
I bought this raquet for my eldest son and he is delighted, of course now my second son wants the same one!!!
This racquet gives you great flexibility, control. I see an improvement in the topspin shots and serves. This is my racquet of choice for now . Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for racquet with control and flexibility.
Good step up
I have been using a Head Ti S5 for about 4 years. I reached a point where I felt a need to move up. The racquet has lots of power and less control. So, it has been a good tool while learning and developing my ability. Figuring it was time to give up some power and have a bit more control to learn to use, my instructor suggested the Radical Team model and since it has been discontinued and was no where to be found, the Microgel Radical MP was next. I think I am going to love this racquet. I notice the power drop off, but with solid centered shots I can create enough power. The control is there and I am learning how to make the most of it. The Radical is slightly heavier than my TI S5 and not tiring heavy. As my son reminds me, its not the tool its the carpenter, I know I have a new set of things to learn to improve my game with this new and wonderful tool.
My 12 yrs old son is a beginner, and he is delighted with this raquet. He says the grip is so comfortable, and the raquet is light and powerful. He loves his raquet and my other children 9 and 7 also wants one too.
Purchased 2 racquets one for my wife and one for my daughter. They both love the balance and feel of this racquet. My wife has had some joint issues in the past. She does not feel any discomfort with this racquet. The racquet really absorbs the shock well.
My MicroGel Radical Racquet
I absolutely love these racquets! We lost our other two racquets to our son who is a tennis coach and he loves them. He has used and been sponsored by other brands. He had to borrow our racquets when he came into town, and he took our racquets when he left!! Hes in his mid 20s and we are 50, so it works really well for all ages. I was having a hard time before with racquet that would effect my elbow, no matter what I had them strung at to just would jar my elbow, this racquet does not. We just love this racquet!!
I tried 8 different racquets from Demo, including Babolat Aero Pro GT, Wilson BLX Six One 95, BLX Blade, Head YouTek Speed, Head YouTek Prestige. All of those are newer racquet but yet I liked this one most for the feel. This racquet provide excellent feel and control that makes you believe you can put the ball anywhere in the court. Power is very low as it is for long and fast swing type. Keeping the ball with faster swing is easy with it, so is the service. Overall an excellent value given that it is an older racquet and therefore priced at half of other newer high end racquets.
Even better than the radical Youtek
The microgel line from head is still my favorite line. The radical offers the best overall feel for players who dont have unusual styles or comfort specifics. Ive tried to switch to the Youtek Radical, but it just doesnt feel the same. This microgel Radical offers a great balance of stiffness and feel. Plays just fine for me at the 4.5 level. Been using this since playing 3.5
Microgel Radical MP
It may be a few years old, but this is a fantastic racquet. It performs at a high level for a low price, what more do you want Highly recommend.
This racquet is the best I have ever tried.
I have been using the flex point OS racquet for a few years. Just recently the handle broke on one of them and the head of the other one is worn out from hitting the ground on my backhand slice. This mid plus racquet has much better control and plenty of pop right out of the box. I seem to be getting more power spin and control. And amazing feel. I have a terrible volley so im not going to rate it on that. Im not sure how they got it all in one package. I love it!
After being a diehard and playing with an old Prince racquet for years finally decided to try something new. Didnt think I could duplicate the control factor but for me this racquet maintains that control and also gives me more depth on the groundstrokes. It is just a slight bit heavier than what I was previously playing but no issue with that. A little more pop on the serve and plays the same for me at the net. Being a player that is more concerned with control than power, this fits the bill. If I have one regret it would be not buying two. I am a 4.0+ player and would highly recommend this racquet. Great racquet and certainly reasonably priced.
MicroGel Rad MP Tennis Racquet
This is my second MicroGel Radical Racquet. I love it. It has really good control because the head size. I use a western grip and am able to get high quality back spin with this racquet.
I love to hit with these racquet give me good control& power. excellent.
Daughter loves this racquet!
Bought this racquet for my daughter who plays on her high school tennis team. She and her doubles partner went undefeated in their regular season! She loves it!
A timeless classic that still plays great. I have four of them that I play and travel with. Just cant seem to make a change!
Head Microgel Radical MP
I believe this microgel raqcquet works well for every players with different style of tennis. It provides excellent power and control over the ball. However, compared to modern racquets, it lacks spin potential and it isnt comfortable on the arm. Overall, microgel radical mp is a great classic racquet for its price.
I dont play tennis but
I dont play tennis but this is the racquet my husband subtly hinted he would like for Christmas by sending me an email saying this one. It was my own cunning that led to the final purchase from Tennis Express ...best price and delivery options. And so it was smiles on Christmas day for husband and smiles for me since as he has been no trouble at all being so very detained swatting balls with it.
It really depends upon the user of the racquet but I wouldnt recommend this to any person that has a short to mid swing and who doesnt not have a lot of stroke power. Ive been playing aroung for almost 16 years by now and I could strike the ball even with a squash racquet, so this racquet becomes convenient.
Is not a perfect balanced racquet like Djokovic racquet and is a little heavy to some people been the extreme edge wilsons prostaff 6.0 or federer racquet
Overall a good acquisition and a very decent price.
Excellent Head Racquet!
This head product delivers all the power I am used to using. I am a strong base line hitter and this gives me the punch I am used to.
Very little vibration through the arm and shoulder.
Strong tension and great grip.
I recommend this racquet to the intermediate to advanced player.
This is also moderately priced so I feel I can supply more racquets if needed in the future.

Great racquet, Great Price
I got this racquet for a great price and it is now my favorite racquet. Its low power, so your have to swing harder to get your power shots but along with that, you get great control with your baseline shots as well as on volleys. I wasnt sure about whether this racquet would be good for me, but it actually helped me move my game up another notch.
My racquet came quickly, was well strung and the sale price was great.
