Description

One of the more unique string constructions around, Head RIP Control 17 is a blatant advertisement for its best property, control while providing a bit of additional spin than the thicker gauge version. Utilizing a central core of standard nylon fibers, this string provides a surprisingly elastic response to go along with its incredible precision. The most unique feature of RIP Control is the application of an outer sheath of polyolefin ribbons made famous by IsoSpeed. These thin, flat ribbons are braided around the central core and provide plenty of control and texture for additional spin generation. With solid durability, these strings are a great option for baseline players seeking control and spin without moving to a very stiff string. The feel is crisp, while still providing enough feel for those trips towards the net.

Construction: Nylon Multifilament + Polyolefin Ribbons
Color: Copper/Natural
Gauge: 1.20mm

RIP Control Strings
5/5
I have enjoyed playing with these strings - lots of control and a good deal of spin. I am a 3.5/4.0- level playing 3-4 times per week and enjoy playing with a lot of slice. These work for my game and are very durable. I have tried other Head strings and they don't seem to have as much control for me.

HEAD RIP Control 17g
5/5
This is a good string. Has good feel and nice pop, but it's not too durable. There's a lot of string movement. But all in all, this is a good string to try. Although, not very durable, it's cheap enough that you can afford to restring often. Give it a try.

Lots of Spin, easy to control
5/5
These strings are just what I needed. I no longer like the poly strings - they are too hard on my elbow. For players who feel the same way I suggest Head Rip Control. I like the 17 gauge version, I get lots of spin and control. Im playing a Prince hybrid spectrum oversized racquet and like the combination.

Nice hit, doesnt last
4/5
I am a 4.5 womens player. I am a hard hitter and like to hit the ball flat or with minimal top spin. I absolutlely loved this strings. It was a nice hit and the strings helped me generate more top spin. The strings did drop tension after the initial hit, but settled in nicely. Problem is I break them within 2 weeks. I dont break strings ever. I have broke 3 sets of these in the same timeline. Will have to move on and find a more durable string.

A Very Nice String
4/5
I tried this string since it was one of the free choices when I purchased my Head Prestige MP. I have been very impressed with it. Its been about 20 hrs of hitting combination of singles and doubles and the tension has held very well. The only issue is how much fraying has occurred. I have them strung @ 57lbs and love the power, control and spin Im able to get with them. My groundstrokes and volleys feel very solid. I have not experienced any discomfort with my arm/shoulder even after playing in a 4.5 hr shootout. I will definitely be using these again.
