Description

A classic player’s frame is improved for 2014 with the introduction of the Head Graphene Prestige MP. All of the things that have made the Prestige MP a player’s favorite for over 25 years – strong 11.3 oz. (320g) unstrung weight, 10-point head light balance, 98 sq. in. midplus head, 21mm control beam width and control-oriented 18x20 string pattern – have remained, along with a technology update. By using graphene – the world’s lightest and strongest material – in the racquet shaft, Head has been able to move weight from the shaft to the tip and handle, increasing power and stability without changing overall racquet mass (more weight in the head = greater plow through from the baseline, and more mass in the handle = reduced torque and recoil). Advanced players looking for the ultimate in control and feel need look no further than the Head Graphene Prestige MP.

Prestige Graphene MP
5/5
I am a current user of the Prestige IG MP and this Graphene felt awesome. Still the same crisp clean control from the previous model with a little more power in my opinion. I would recommend this racket for players at least level 4.0 and up. It definitely has a nice weight to it and the new Graphene material helped to make the racket much more stable and solid in my opinion.

I am a user of the Prestige Line. I have been using the Prestige since the Microgel series and I can say that this racquet is a improvement of the IG Youtek. The Ig Youtek lacked the prestige feel from the microgel series but with the Graphene it seems like it found its way. It is a little heavier so I may consider on getting the S model rather than the MP model but its still a great racquet.

A better Prestige
5/5
The Prestige MP and Pro are mainstays among serious players and those, like myself, that enjoy a solid, somewhat heavy feel to a control-oriented racquet. So when Head announced a new Graphene Prestige I was skeptical it could be as satisfying, but also slightly worried that I may wish to end my relationship with my old Prestige MP in case it was. After having played extensively with the new Graphene Prestige I can say that it has a significantly softer feel but without giving up many of the strengths of the old Prestige. I found it easier to serve with and volley, but not quite as solid from the backcourt. So as always making the switch will depend on ones game. The Graphene Prestige maintains the consistent control of the old version it is a great looking racquet that is more than definitely worth a serious try.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A CONTROL RACQUET THIS IS A VERY NICE FRAME. IT HAS WEIGHT, IS ARM FRIENDLY, HAS A GREAT FEEL. AFTER A MONTH PLAYING WITH IT, THIS IS MY OPINION: IT IS LOW POWERED! MY HITTING PARTNERS DONT SEEM TO HAVE MUCH TROUBLE WITH MY PACE. THIS WAS A SHOCK TO ME AS I AM NOT USED TO BEING OVERPOWERED! I CAN SWING AWAY AND THE BALL STAYS IN! IT IS VERY STABLE. I FEEL AS IF I CAN PUT THE BALL ANYWHERE I WANT ON THE COURT. I SWITCHED TO THIS BECAUSE OF HAVING SOME ARM ISSUES. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS IT BEING LOW POWERED. I PLAY WITH SOME HEAVY HITTERS, SO IT MAY NOT BE AN ISSUE FOR OTHERS.

Definitely a lot stiffer than the previous Prestige rackets. But overall the racket performed pretty much the same as the older ones, just with a stiffer feel. I guess you can say this is a more modern Prestige.

Awesome Touch and Feel Racket
5/5
4.0 player, I used to use the Dunlop 600. I have a very hard swing and can provide plenty of my own power. I needed a racket that i could swing away and keep it within the court, this racket does that. It also allows for great feel and touch at the net and from anywhere on the court i love drop shots from the T and baseline. Using the same strings that came in the Demo from Tennis Express, this thing has great bite on the spin and can blast through anyone on the court. Love it.
