Babolat Pure Drive GT

Babolat Pure Drive GT Racquet Review

The first thing that I noticed about this racket was the extreme plow through of this racket. Compared to the Babolat Pure Drive Cortex, the new Pure Drive GT comes with Babolat’s new Graphite Tungsten Technology, which gives the racket more stability and control when contacting with the ball. The Pure Drive GT also has Babolat’s “Cortex System” and “Woofer” technology, both providing more power and comfort to your shots.
The Pure Drive GT provided my shots with an immense amount of power and with the new GT technology my strokes felt more crisp and controllable. I was able to maneuver the ball very well with just the right amount of power behind it. The feel on my strokes were very solid, I was able to go through the ball making my shots go deep into the court. The 16x19 string pattern provided my shots with enough topspin to land deep in the court.

With my ground strokes and volleys feeling very solid, I had no doubt that my serve would have the same results. Serving for the first time with the Pure Drive GT, the first thing I noticed was the tremendous power and placement that the racket provided. I had no trouble getting huge amounts of slice and kick, throwing my opponents off. I was very impressed with the consistency on the placement of my first serves.

Overall the Pure Drive GT standard is an outstanding stick providing a combination of power and control with an ample amount of spin. I felt this racket’s performance was very solid all around. This racket’s would be great for players of almost any level. It will provide a beginner with the extra power and comfort they would be looking for, while the advanced player will be able to maintain control with high amounts of spin.
