Who will be crowned the 2010 French Open winner? Nadal or Soderling? My prediction is that Soderling will win because he's not afraid to hit the big shots. Also, Soderling has something to prove because he's never won the French Open and he beat Nadal in the fourth round last year. Some would argue that Nadal is a more strategic player, but I think this will be his downfall. All the counter-shots in the world won't save Nadal from Soderling's momentum. On a high from defeating number one ranked Federer, Soderling has the confidence and ability to beat his next opponent whoever it may be. One wrinkle worth mentioning is that Nadal is coming off a dominating victory over Melzer. Soderling's match with Federer was a long hard fought battle, so Nadal might me a little more fresh. I don't think it's going to matter much though. On Sunday, June 6, 2010 cheers for Soderling will fill Roland Garros after he wins the tournament.
