Cellulose is the most common organic compound on Earth, comprising about one-third of all plant matter, and is widely used as a binding agent. The cellulose forms a stiff bond between the tubes, and its high tensile strength contributes to the tube’s ability to store the kinetic energy from impact and transmit it back into the ball for added power. The presence of cellulose between the nanotubes acts as a “buffer”, and allows for extra vibration dampening.
