Jensen Brooksby burst on to the scene with an impressive first round win at the US Open over former world number 4 Tomas Berdych. The win was Brooksby's first tour level victory. Brooksby struggled with a toe injury throughout 2020, but he rediscovered him form in 2021 when he made the finals at Newport. Though he counterpunches well from the baseline, Brooksby has impressive court sense, a sneaky strong first serve, and an effective drop shot. His best attribute though has to be his competitive spirit, as he doesn't ever seem like the occasion is to big for him.
