Description

Some of the most buzzed about string on the market, Luxilon 4G is noticeably different from its polyester predecessors in that it has a cushioned feel on impact. There’s no “poly jolt”, and your body will feel happier after hours of play than with most other similar strings. The power level is slightly lower than previous generations, which should aid 4G’s target player.

Color: Gold

Construction: Co-polymer Monofilament

Gauge: 16G (1.30 mm)

Length: 40 ft (12.2 m)

Great first week

Sting was great the first few times I played with it but in two weeks it became stiff and I started feeling it in my arm. I would not recommend this string for seniors. Probably good for competitive younger player.

Nice feel for such a stiff string. Very good durability. Used in the mains combined with a thinner string for the cross for more control.

This string was fine. It was medium stiff and did seem to keep its tension a little better than many othyer Polys I use. Its pricey as many Polys are.

I use this for the mains in my Wilson Steam 99s. It offers a great amount of durability as well as performance for this particular racket.

4G is a very low power string. As such, you need to be generating a lot of racquet head speed to take full advantage of the string. It has good durability and very good tension maintenance making it a good option for super open patterns like Wilson S series or Prince ESP frames. I did not care for it in a full set, Not enough power and spin compared to my usual setup. It does work well as a cross in a hybrid though. Gives a nice crisp feel and maintains tension well. The other big factor for me is price. There are other similar performing strings on the market for less and that is what would keep me from regularly using 4G.

I really like this string. I have a full bed in Wilson Blade 98S. I get good spin and durability. I do not have any arm problems with this one. I wish it came in different colors. Maybe it does now. But that would be my only request for this.

These strings are so far my favorite tennis strings when its set at the right tension which is around 48 lbs - 50 lbs for me. I just love the feel whenever i swing the racquet and it hits the sweetspot. Feels great with the Pro Staff 90 at a low tension.

I used this string in a Wilson 6-1 95S. The string in combination with the racket gives an extremely good feel and control. The string is durable and loses litte tension over time. I would recommend this combination to everybody.
