Some of the most buzzed about string on the market, Luxilon 4G Rough 125 16L Tennis String Gold is noticeably different from its polyester predecessors because it holds tension very well for a poly. With 4G Rough, the string is dented so it plays with more flex than regular 4G. Expect 4G Rough to play slightly firmer than Luxilon ALU Power, but not quite as firm as 4G.

A great string for control and soft on the elbow

These strings are the best I have ever used. I have them on my Wilson 95Pro Staff rackets. They offer terrific feel, surprisingly easy on the elbow, hold tension well and do not require the ever so common adjustment to the strings after a few shots.

The 4g rough felt great from the very start. I didnt feel like I had to break in the strings. Long lasting and the loss of tension seemed minimal .

4G rough is a generation ahead

I used Luxilon strings for close to 4 years until RPM blast came along and swept me out of the camp. RPM blast seem to give better durability,tension maintenance and spin.
When 4G came along I thought maybe it was time to give it a try but knowing the fact I was a spin player I held out for a rough version. 4G has remarkable feel for a poly string. It also has the ferocious bite required for spin generation needed for heavy hitting. I have been pleasantly surprise with the tension holding up well for Poly strings and the fact that I do not feel they need to cut it out of the racket every few days. It is not a super soft string but it does not seem to have the harshness of many of the other poly strings designed for hard hitters.
I think this is the ultimate string for the more open string patterns of today. Once I played with the first set I was hooked. Even with gut hybrids it still generates crazy spin with just a little more pop and ball control. Luxilon has again raised the
