Description

Luxilon Big Banger TiMO 18 provides the highest amount of spin but with slightly less durability of the TiMO line. This string gives excellent control and feel from a polyester based string. Luxilon claims that the additions of Titanium and Molybdenum, materials typically utilized in the aeronautics industry, provide the string with its unique characteristic feel. Being the thinnest gauge of TiMO available, this will provide increased feel and spin, while sacrificing a small amount of durability. The string provides ample spin and pinpoint accuracy, while providing a comfortable feel. TiMO 18 is best suited to the all court player seeking a durable, control oriented string that is effective from all areas of the court.

Construction: Extruded polyester monofilament
Color: Grey
Gauge 1.10mm

LUXILON Big Banger Timo 110 18G Tennis String
5/5
I love this string! It's quite durable for an 18g string and has great feel! Bites the ball extremely well because it's an 18g, providing awesome spin! Topspin, slice and kick serves have all been enhanced 10 fold! I have tried several different types of poly, but always come back to the Timo 18g. You can't beat this string. A bit on the expensive side, but well worth every penny. Try it, you won't be dissappointed.

Using a thinner gauge string, stringing one piece and droping the tenison works well. I was able to get power and control spin on strokes.

Big Banger TIMO 18g tennis strings
5/5
I had Luxilon BB TIMO 18g full bed strung at 57-lbs in my Prince Tour 100 racquet. I must say I like it. I can feel the bite on my kick & slice serves. BB TIMO 18g also gives more pop to your flat serve. You can feel the strings grabbing the ball on serves. There is also a lot of spin potential on forehands. I used to play with BB Alu Rough 16L and I found the Timo 18g has a crisp feel with more bite however, I believe BB Alu Rough 16L gave me good spin potenial with as much control but with more baseline power. If youre a Luxilon string user, then I recommend you give BB TIMO 18g a shot.

The Timo 18 has a bit more bite than the rest of Luxilon for the same price and good durability for repeated play. It is great for hybrid main and use the cross with other more biting string. The string provdes great control,if it is used immediately after being strung on the racquet. Optimum Tension is 57 lbs on mid plus main.

I recently bought 2 sets of Luxilon strings for both my racquet and my daughters. Strings are great, price is reasonable but delivery was a bit slow just for strings. Not so bad that I wouldnt buy them here again here.

So far so good with this string as it is my first time using it. Very easy to string the racquet as the gauge is so small. feels a lot like its thicker brother ALU Power 16L. one of the byproducts of the string is the racquet is head lighter as the thinner gauge is 12 to 14 grams lighter. I took advantage of that by adding some lead tape to the frame to improve stability. my racquet is 16 X 19 pattern and I like the string, I would strongly suggest it for racquets with 18 X 20 pattern with a little less tension for it. I have two racquets and the plan is to have one with this string and the other with ALU Power, with the latter strung tighter. adds variety for different situations.

Gage matters
5/5
I love this string. Very unique. I play with a heavy stiff racquet RF97. I string the Timo at 56. After initial play it drops to 55 then stays that tension for two months at least. Also the crosses end up around 48 for the smallest delta I have found. I think that helps the mains hold tension. Lastly the strings have uniform tension accross the frame. I attribute all this to the Gage. Since it is thinner the crosses and mains interfere less at the centerline of the grommet hole across the pattern. This allows the strings to move freer for spin. But I rarely pop strings so I can use the Gage. Try if you can too.
