I love this string as a 4.0 player. It holds its tension and doesn't wear out as quickly as others strings. It has good feel and power. I can hit the ball as hard as I can with control and it responds without the strings moving around. As a racquet stringer, it is more difficult to string at the desired tension. It is difficult to pull through the Grommets, due to the aluminum inflexability, but it's great once it's on the racquet.

ALU Big Banger Spin Strings

I am an intermediate player and wanted to try this type of string for a while now, so I finally did. I was actually very happy with the way they felt and connected with the ball! They move when using top spin and then move right back where they started! No adjusting strings between hits! They do add spin for sure! I give em two thumbs up!

Don't let the Big Banger moniker mislead you. As an old school chip 'n charge, dink and slice guy, I have found Luxilon provides excellent control in the departments of spin, speed, and placement. The resiliency of the string possesses sufficent pop and comfort that will ensure a long and beautiful relationship with my 55 year-old elbow and shoulder.

Spin Strings

The Luxilon Spin string was recommended to me by my tennis pro. They produce a spin that makes me a little more competitive. And believe me, when you're 66 years old, you need all the help you can get. Keep in mind that these are Luxilon strings and must be strung at 10% less tension than other strings. The effectiveness of the spin characteristic will last from 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the amount that you play.

combinging strings

Im a solid 4.5 player and recently tried a mix of Gamma LWP16 and Luxilon Power spin. It took a few times playing with this combo to really appreciate it, but I have to say when you hit the ball on or near the sweet spot you get great spin and power and the best of all, it is way easy on your elbow and shoulder. Its like the ball actually stays on the strings longer giving you more control and feel. Ill let you know how long they last! So far about a month and I play 3-4x a week for 2hrs. Highly recommend the combo!

I have to say out of all the strings I have tried, this is by far the only string that I havent broken within 2 weeks in a full bed. I play around 3 times a week or so for 2 hrs, so my strings have been holding for at least a good 12-15 hrs and the strings have not moved. The strings do need a little less tension as the pack indicated. I have a Head Speed Pro MP and I strung it at 57 lbs. I would say its a little hard on the arm, but not bad. If you have never tried Luxilon, this string will take getting used to. I was inconsistent for the first few days control wise with this string. I was used to other polys like PHT and MFs like Head RIP Control. This string almost seemed to have to break in period. After my 6th time out, these are hitting even better than before. The power I would say is average. I hit between a semi-Western and full Western, and I would say as far as spin goes, it does seem to find its way back on court more often than other strings I have tried.

All I can say about this string is, yumm. Really... I am familiar with the Alu Power Rough and purchased two of these by mistake. HOWEVER, once I put it on my plateracket it bit the ball more than the rough and gave me impeccable control especially from the base line. I heated it up a little bit and strung it to max on my 98 K Blades. The after taste it left on my arm was much more mild than the Rough and it had surprisingly more pop and spin. It really hits the sweet spot...I am very satisfied and cant wait for a second serving...ENJOY!

Great Strings

Ive been using these strings for about a year and love them. Theyre durable but also give a little extra pop and great spin production. I use them as the mains in a hybrid set up with a cheaper synthetic gut Wilson Extreme for the crosses. In my view, the hybrid is the only way to go as the softer Extreme tends to provide more playability and comfort. I used to break strings about every 2 weeks but now I cut these off about every 5 or 6 weeks to keep them fresh. They suggest putting these on at about 10% less tension than normal but I dont and I find they usually feel good after about 15 or 20 minutes of hitting and retain tension longer. If youre a top spin player, these are definitely worth a try.

My husband and I have been using this Luxilon string for a few years now, and like it better than any other. It provides us with more feel and control,last longer and holds its tension better, and doesnt move around, so we dont need to constantly readjust the strings after each point like with other string. We highly recommend it!!

I found these strings a bit stiff for my liking. While I did get a big boost on serve and lots of power and spin on ground, I also got pain in my arm. Maybe Ill try these again but with a natural gut cross strings.

Good Spin String, and It Lasts Too

I always use Luxilon Strings. First Alu Power, then Alu Power Rough and now Alu Power Spin. I find that Alu Power Spin is the best among the Luxilon string family. Alu Power Rough is good for spin generation too, but it is harder to string because of the rough surfaces. One draw back is that the sharp concerns get rounded in the sweet spot after 3 hours of play and lose quite a bit of spin capability, sometimes I have to replace them with new strings before they break. But this happens to all other shaped strings that I tried, and Alu Power Spins sharp corners seem to last the longest.
