After a revamp in 2021, the adidas Men`s Barricade Tennis Shoes have evolved again. The Barricade is designed as a shoe for the ultimate athlete who needs the utmost support during intense matches. Using customer insight, the Barricade is now constructed with FMT (Flow Molded Technology) which uses recycled BOOST material and an improved abrasion pattern for the shoes` upper. The tongue is softer and more comfortable and the adaptive lacing system has been refined for a better fit. For torsional stability, adidas built the Barricade with a TPU midfoot shank. The shoe's lacing system is built to secure the foot using the integrated eye stays, and there is extra protection for the medial laces thanks to the asymmetrical design. To improve the durability of the shoe, ADITUFF abrasion mapping and a new ADIWEAR rubber compound are included in the outsole. As a part of Adidas` ongoing Primegreen effort, 50% of the shoe`s upper is composed of recycled polyester.
*Only applicable to the rubber outsole. Upper and toe guard NOT included. The outsole must be worn through to the point of exposing the midsole. Shoes must be returned to Tennis Express to earn a replacement. Warranty will NOT be honored if the product has been abused.
Upper: The innovative U-throat design combines an asymmetrical lacing system with hidden medial eyelets to protect the laces when sliding. The integrated lateral eye stay enhances support where you need it most. FMT adds enhanced abrasion protection with recycled Boost material. Primegreen recycled polyester comprises 50% of the upper material.
Midsole: BOUNCE™ 2.0 technology offers all-day comfort and cushioning. The TPU midsole shank allows for greater control over medial and lateral movements, and more support and stability when changing direction. New GEOFIT Sense Pods are a unique foam package to promote step-in comfort and support the natural movement of the heel.
Outsole: ADIWEAR.ADITUFF features a brand-new rubber compound for high performance on hard courts.
