Description

Tecnifibre NRG2 17 (1.24mm) provides more bite on the ball with more power while maintaining the feel of the 16 gauge version. Utilizing their Elastyl fibers, which give 12% more power than standard synthetic string materials, throughout this multifilament strings leads to a more elastic string, giving easy power and a comfortable feel. NRG2 features the SPL technology (Silicium Pyrogene Lubritec), an abrasion resistant coating to increase the durability. Tecnifibre's PU Inside technology to bind the multifilament fibers together provides up to 400% elasticity for the ultimate comfortable feel for touch shots. I put this string on my yonex rqis 1 tour with 55 pounds. Upo first use, this string is very hand friendly, very soft feeling on my front hand, and cuts the ball well, Very stablized. It's power is less than gamma tnt 2.

As far as multifilament strings are concerned this is the best! Very arm friendly with easy access to power and spin. As close to gut as you can get without the price tag. I typically use this string in a hybrid setup as the crosses.

I bought these strings because I was suffering from a bad case of tennis elbow. I strung my racket at 42 lbs and was able to play with no pain from day one. I am now up to 46 lbs and will keep raising my string tension. Excellent feel and power. I now have my wife using these same strings in her racket, strung at 50 lbs.

Purchased NRG2 SPL 17g string for my Volkl racquet. I have just returned to the game after a 22 year layoff. I was concerned about shoulder and elbow problems but having strung my racquet at 58 lbs, I have great feel and touch without any hint of shock. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to hit with a lot of topspin without any discomfort.

I suffer from a bit of elbow pain too. Strung this in my Wilxon six.one 95 16 main at 56lbs. This string is very forgiving and relieves a lot of the pain. It has a lot of pop and spin, but the most impressive thing about it is the touch and feel.

The NGR 2 string really has all the playing characteristics a tournament players wants. It has good power, doesnt fray, is easy on the arm at impact and is quite durable. Also it strings up easy and doesnt kink.It is reasonable priced and comes very close to performing like natural gut.

I am 4.0+ player, use 98 sq. inch racquet at 58 lbs. This string has good power and feel, not much string movement as well. I broke it after 15 hours of play play with heavy topspin. IMO - NRG 17 is a good choice for doubles.

Ive been playing with this string for years and it never disappoints. Its perfect for me as I have had wrist and elbow issues in the past. It really minimizes shock and potential for injury. I love the feel of this string at 54 pounds in my Wilson 6.1 Pro Staff. I just wish it would last a bit longer. I have found that using Tourna-Cross help it to last a bit longer.

NRG 2 17Gauge Rocks

Ive been using this string for more than 10 years. Ive tried a lot of other strings and the NRG 2 17g is still my string of choice. Ive had a history or wrist and arm issues so the polyesters are just not an option if I want to play tennis in the long term. This string has so much feel for the ball. I get a lot of spin and power. The only down side is it doesnt last very long. The that can be said of all the other strings in this category. Nothing great lasts forever!

I tried other strings but they all caused my shoulder pain. This string seems only one for me not cause any shoulder pain but it doesnt last long. I always have one string package with me to make sure I can replace quickly. I wish it last a little longer ,one month per string is a little expensive but people who has shoulder pain ,try this .

I only use soft strings to avoid shoulder pain. This string is great ,no pain ,great feelings but only one reason I am not completely satisfied is it doesnt last long .Sometimes it breaks in two weeks ,sometimes it last two months though.

Love this string and have no plans to change. They allow me take a good swing at the ball and are easy on the shoulder. If you are someone who treasures spin potential and would like to take some shock out of the impact, these are wonderful. Just be prepared to re-string a little more often.

Normally used the natural version of this string, but wanted to try the black and see how it worked. Seemed to have a bit more bite, but kept same feel of my trusted string. Since I dont break even the 17 anymore, may someday try the 18 - will let you know how that works. If you are looking for a great string, thats arm friendly, youve gotta try this string!
