Tourna Sampras Red Vibration Tennis Dampener

This is my favorite dampener all time. It does decrease the vibration at a perfect level; not too much to reduce the feeling or not too little to have no effect. Also easy to install and cheap! I have all colors, black, white, and red to match my racquets.

Dampeners are used as a statement rather than a functional part of play. The only real function that I can think of is to change the sound of a shot. This dampener certainly makes a strong statement from its unique shape, a perfect O. I also like its color, shining red, especially on my black string bed: Watch out, man, we are going to see blood today! Feel like Pete, even if just for a very brief moment.

This dampener will forever be linked to one of GOATs, Pete Sampras. As a fan, this is a must have. As one who plays tennis, this works great at absorbing vibration and eliminating the natural pinging sound when a racket hits a ball. However, as a one-size-fits-all item, it is sometimes prone to popping out when it is hit directly or if your racquet has a open string pattern, a 16X19 for example. Overall, a great, simple, bang for your buck item. I would recommend getting a brightly colored red dampener, because the black one is slightly harder to find once it pops out.
