Description

The all new Tourna Big Hitter Black Zone 16G Reel is an ideal option for players looking for an ultra smooth poly for maximum spin and a crisp, responsive feel. This string uses the latest material advancements and a special series of heat treatments that strengthen molecular bonding. The result is an ultra smooth surface that stands up to hard hitting play. The smooth, slick surface is ideal for producing the snap back needed for high levels of spin and controllable power. The co-poly construction also ensures that the string plays firm yet comfortably and with predictable power, even at the highest of swing speeds. This string performs well in a full set and also serves as an ideal hybrid with softer strings. The 16 gauge diameter provides maximum durability with a slight drop in feel. The 660 foot reel option is a great way for frequent stringers to maximize the value of this string. Players seeking an ultra smooth poly capable of producing spin and power on its own or in a hybrid are going to love Tourna Big Hitter Black Zone 16G.

Construction: Co-polyester monofilament

Color: Black

Gauge: 1.30 mm  (16g)

Softest Poly out there
4.33333333333/5
This poly is really the softest poly I have ever played with. Some people may find it mushy. but I think it is good for those with elbow pain. The ball pockets well and stays on the string bed longer. The smooth surface makes it good for open-pattern rackets such as the Wilson Steam 105s, which is what I play with. The racket was designed to use string snap-back to generate extra spin and it works well with this string. I also have tried Black 7 with the edges and that wears out fast and when the edges wear out after an hour the spin amount wears out too! So, Id rather stick with this. It is $20 less expensive per reel too. The pop off of the racket is nice, you just have to find a tension where you can have the control too. I string at 54 lbs, which is under the recommended range but that is because of previous tennis elbow issues. Also, I need some help in generating power. Big Hitter Blue is an option if you want a stiffer string. Also there is Big Hitter Silver.
