Description

Tourna Big Hitter Blue 17 provides more feel and greater spin than the 16 gauge version, with slightly less durability. Now available in a new striking blue color. This string is a great option for the baseliner seeking durability with some additional pop without breaking the bank on each restring. One of the few strings to use aluminum fibers, the poly-poly ether composition of this string allows for surprising resiliency for extra power. Placing the primary concern on control, Big Hitter provides ample spin generation to allow baseliners to swing freely and still control the ball. The German engineered string also rated highly for its resistance to string movement as the strings move back into their original place quickly after impact. It is recommended to string Big Hitter between 5 and 10% lower than normal tension due to the stiffness as well as the above average tension maintenance.

Composition: Extruded Poly-Poly ether monofilament

Color: Blue

Gauge: 1.25 mm (17g)

Length: 12.2 m (40 ft)

Big Hitter
4/5
I originally strung it too tight and struggled a bit with the feel and consistency. Once i re-strung it at the suggested lower tension, the string has worked beautifully. I can completely hit out on the ball and the ball stays in. No pain in my elbow and the no movement on the string bed. Great string over all for the price.

I got mine strung at 58 on my Dunlop 500 hundred tour and it has been one strings best yet!It holds its tension well and enables more control and accuracy with my shots. However, at first the string may seem too stiff but once I broke into them my shots were much smoother and deep. Overall, a great buy if you are looking for a string that gives you control!

Not bad, not great
4/5
Tried this based on the comparable products suggestions link and low price. Very average string. Liked it a lot immediately after stringing, but felt it went off faster than other strings into the dead zone. Decent pop, average spin production, but no single quality stand out. Great price, but if it is going to lose its feel so quickly, not likely worth it. Will try some options.
