Tennis Express Reviews
Easy to use
The grip is soft and really easy to use.
The gauze tape enables me to hold onto my racquet even in the hot Texas heat. The rough surface does not become slick even when wet with sweat. The tape may be too rough for some players with tender hands.
What happened to the stickiness
Ive been using gauze wrap for over twenty years. I kept hoping it was just a bad batch but its clear that there is a significant decrease in the stickiness along with a narrower width. I wonder how much they save by making the gauze narrower and less sticky. I will no longer buy any. Unfortunately that leaves me with 11 rolls of the stuff.

Great Grip Tape
I love this tape. I have trouble holding onto the handle when my hands get wet with sweat. This gauze grip tape solves that problem. I have this tape on all my racquets.
like the old days! it is thinner than old tape and not as sticky, but it covers the grip easily. can be replaced each time you play and this gives a fresh surface to grip. does not thicken the grip at all to make the grip too big.
I* really like the product and will need another supply soon!
Buy a lot of this if you can!
The price is right with this product, at about 50% of what my local pro shop charges. However, with any kind of grip gauze tape, youll have to change it often so it stays fresh. Be cautious of getting the tape roll too damp, and always put a piece of tape or paper at the end of our roll. Ive had this product stick completely together on the roll if I dont do this.
This grip is slippery and non-absorbent...worst of both worlds. Non playable.
Stick with the original Tournagrip or with the Yonex over grip.
My racquet arrive ahead of schedule date in perfect
Condition. Thanks for the little goodies with it.
Exactly Solved My Needs
I needed something to combat the sweaty palms syndrome I get when I play. One layer of this gauzy tape and problem solved! Grip size is not affected the tape is thin, I dont have the slipperiness from my sweat, and it has a nice, textured, tactile feel with good grip!
I used this stuff Tourna gauze grip tape back when I first started playing in the 1970s. I liked it because it toughened up my hand and formed callouses quickly so I could grip my racket firmly. It was cheap and went on easily. I recently purchased two packs of it hoping for the same results however, the adhesive bled through both rolls and made it almost impossible to peel off and apply. I tried cutting, peeling, scraping, etc. but nothing would help me get the gauze off the roll. Its truly a retro product and must sit around on a shelf for a long time causing it to deteriorate. I would advise against using or even trying this product.
Perfect Solution Against Sweat
I use this tape on my platform tennis paddle to provide extra grip because perspiration makes the bare grip slippery. This tape is thin and does indeed add texture and tack exactly as I want. The application is so easy - just wrap and go - no end treatment needed.. Its the perfect solution for me! Be sure to fold over the end at the roll when done or it will be hard to peel up for the next job - better yet, add a paper clip or piece of paper to the roll under the end.
I like a sticky grip tape especially during hot humid months. I have always used Turnagrip. This is a good product. I am very satisfied. The price is reasonable.
Gauze Grip Tape
I looked in tennis shops at all of the clubs in this area for this grip tape. None to be found. I found it quickly at tennis express and it arrived promptly. A great service. Thanks.
Get a Grip
Im a big sweater, especially here in the south. Struggled with all the grip enhancers gels, powders, chalks, etc...no buenos. Tried this very thin tape application, worked like a charm. Thin enough not to affect grip size and lasts for the a full three sets easily. When done just peel it off and reload for next match in the sun.
Its worth the price....glad I found it. Game changer for a big sweat hog like me....:
I had a great experience shopping in the store. I want to leave with everything in there! Not many sports stores carry the Tourna Gauze Grip Tape and its the only grip I love. Its worth a drive from Katy to pick some up and of course see what over new items are in.
