Tourna Quasi Gut 17g Tennis String

Description

The new Tourna Quasi-Gut 17 offers greater spin generation and even more feel compared to the 16 gauge version.  This string brings natural gut like power to a more durable, economic string. Constructed using thousands of tightly wound microfibers, this string offers a soft, comfortable string bed with power to spare. Quasi-Gut utilizes a new thermo-elastic polyurethane resin to bind the multifilament core of the string for enhanced tension maintenance for longer playability. The tightly wound microfibers are coated to extend time before fraying begins, and then wrapped again with larger filaments in an outerwrap. This construction helps to increase the durability of the string by not allowing the wear to immediately occur to the smaller multifilament core. With this much performance made available at an economical price, this string is definitely worth a try for anyone looking for natural gut like performance with added durability. Quasi-Gut is a great fit for players with arm problems as well as making a solid choice for a soft string for hybrid application.

Composition: Polyurethane Infused Multifilament

Color: Natural

Gauge: 1.25 mm (17g)

Length: 12.2 m (40 ft)

Best multifilament string i played with in a long time, very easy to string even at a higher tension. The stringbed seems to be a bit firm for a soft string.but thats ok i like a stiff stringbed. The ball seems to stay on the strings a bit longer on ground strokes and has a nice touch and fell on drop shots and half volleys,I really like this string on serves it has a nice pop on the ball and it sounds great on impact. Over all a great arm friendly low price string that is better then the higer priced multifilament string on the market today.

This string is as playable as the Babolat Exel 17G it replacing. Power and control are comparable. The Babolat has a softer touch and is a bit more comfortable. But at less than 1/2 the price, it is a trade off I am willing to take. Neither of them are durable which make the lower price even more appealing Im stuck with these softer strings until my tennis elbow pain gets better.
