Great bang for the buck

I have to admit that over the years I have not noticed a HUGE difference in strings. Tension seems to be more important ...or so I thought. This is the first string I have ever used that truly made me realize the difference a string can make. This string has a great feel and even strung a bit looser than I usually do (by 4 lbs) the strings do NOT move on the string bed. They really play much better when you take a full swing at the ball and the ensuing spin will surprise you. Great string at a great price! I bought a bunch!!!!

I have this strung @ 53 lbs and I can say this is a very good string for the price. I have alu big banger on one racquet and I say they feel similar. I have it for only few weeks so I cant comment on durability. Playability it compares to the higher priced string.

These are really great strings. Soft and easy on the arm--i had been getting tennis elbow from using a full set of MSV Focus Hex 1.10, but with these strings, i can play almost every day with no pain. I used to use a hybrid set up, with nylon crosses, but after switching to the Wilson Steam, I was shredding strings every 2-3 hours. So far, I have used these about 8 hours, with no loss of playability. I am using string savers to extend the life.

Powerful String

I read a lot about Silverstring and I thought it was worth a try finally. However, I was not aware of how soft the string is because even at 54/50 pounds, the strings had too much power to them. I think if strung a few pounds higher, I may have found the control and spin I wanted. However, all I had was a racquet strung with strings that just blasted balls out of the court.

I'm mid 50s and have played tennis more than 30 years. I have used Weiss Cannon Silverstring 17 for 7 years. Actually I tried a few different strings during those times. But I came back Silverstring 17 soon. Power, control, spin, durability, and comfort are all excellent. However, few people know this string, so that I cant find this one at local tennis shop. if you dont use poly string because of its harshness, try this. It is very comfortable still lots of power and spin. I love it.
