Coco Vandeweghe, born in New York and raised in Southern California, is known as one of the most athletic players on the WTA Tour. Her mother, Tauna, went to the Olympics for swimming in 1976 and volleyball in 1984. Additionally, her grandfather, Ernie, and uncle, Kiki, were both successful pro basketball players. Vandeweghe’s first career WTA Singles title came in 2014 when she won on the grass courts of The Netherlands. In 2017 she had a standout year reaching the Women's Singles Semifinals of both the Australian Open and the US Open, as well as the Quarterfinals of Wimbledon, and leading the USA Fed Cup team to its 18th title. In her spare time, Coco enjoys watching movies and eating breakfast for dinner.
