The string improves on the first generation line of polyester strings by using a co-poly construction with aluminum. The aluminum present in Big Banger ALU Power is unique to the Luxilon line, giving the string a softer feel and more playability. The co-poly construction of the string helps to retain tension and deliver a new level of elasticity never seen before from a durability string. I serve hard with a lot of spin. I play hard flat shots plus I'm heavy on top spin shots. This string lasts long, so I can compromise a bit on control and play to what it allows me to. Overall I enjoy a power game with this string. I will go with it for a long time.

I put these strings on a Wilson Kobra Team FX racquet. I can hit the ball with a lot of topspin and generate a lot of power and still keep the ball on the court. I can get nice kick on my serve as well. They also have nice feel & touch. I had the tension strung at 58. Next time I will have it strung around 55. These are quality strings and I highly recommend them!

I love this string! I'm a 3.5+ player using an older Head Liquidmetal 4 racquet and I have it strung at 57 pounds. This string gives me excellent top spin control, but with nice pop too. Durability was also better than I expected. I'm currently playing my best tennis ever and this string has certainly helped.

I have played the original Big Banger string on my old sticks but with a new Volkl Power Bridge 10 purchase i decided to give the Big Banger ALU a try. So far i am very pleased with the ability to access lots of spin with either topspin or a underspin backhand. It creates alot of pace when you flatten it out as well. I seem to have better pinpoint control on my groundies as well. The serve has more bite on kick serves and as always Big Banger strings are bulletproof. They last a long long time!! Very impressed and my string of choice.

Nice control, comfort, spin and durabillity. I used to play with Babolat ProHurricane, RPM Blast but this one are better than this ones. I use 57lbs. in Babolat Pure Drive GT+ Roddick. Excellent for baseline play.

The Big Banger ALU Power string is great for big hitters. It allows you to take full cuts at the ball and have it drop in the court. This string does not sling shot the ball off of the string bed the way some other polyester strings do. For that reason alone it should be the top choice of string for the ATP and WTA tours.

Strung alot of racquets and this is all I use personally as well as for others and in my opinion its better than any other string out there except maybe some awesome $75.00 natural gut. It wont last more than a few times of play and dollar for dollar you cant beat Luxilon Alu Power 16L! No I dont work for the company, I just love their string. It outlasts, outplays, still has alot of feel, and strings dont move around at all. Ive been using it for years and will continue to recommend this string to all that I encounter. I have used these strings over the past few years with a great admiration for them. The strength of these strings provides the reliability of not popping on a regular basis as I experienced with some others. Living in Houston and leaving the racquet in the car is a brutal wake up call for the strings. With the heat and humidity they are subjected to and the pounding they receive when being played with regularly the strands withstand the tests superbly. The durability comes at a great value.

Big Banger doesnt hold up

I bought this to string in my sons Wilson Six.One Team. Hes 10 and he breaks strings alot. We were recommended this string as something that should hold up. I will say the performance was good. Spin, control, power all were comparable to some other top polys hes used, but he broke it in 2 places in one week. Too expensive for one week of play. Weve gone back to Gamma Zo Dart 16 as it has had the best durability 4-5 weeks and other good attributes. Will not buy this string again.

I believe the ALU line is really good, but only for a couple of days. They were strung in an aeropro GT @ 55 lbs. When I first tried them I noticed how amazing the control was and was pleased with the spin as well. I thought these would be my go to strings. After a third hitting session2 hrs each These strings lost their pop/feel and they were just never the same. The longevity of these strings are not impressive to me. If you have money to spend to re-string often they are worth it though. I will be sticking to Big Banger Original Rough. Those looking for longevity while still keeping the qualities of Luxilon, I suggest you try them.

I play with a lot of topspin and I feel that the Luxilon Alu Power goes hand in hand with my type of game, giving enough power and control over my shots. Also, I felt that theyre more durable than other strings I tried. I definitely recommend going over a low tension I use 52-53 when the recommended range is 55-62 since they are stiff strings and lose tension over time.

Easy power and durable strings

I am 55 and play 4.5 with old school swings and 1 handed backhand. My game is physical with long med-fast swings for a club player. This string provides very easy power and reasonable spin with little vibration to the elbow. I have been looking at other strings to help increase spin and control and despite all the different reviews and maybe because I am not good enough to notice the difference is minor. While the modern strings of today certainly help with spin, I find it hard to gauge the difference and now recognize that the spin will have more to do with my technique and racquet head speed than the string. This string is very durable and keeps its tension well for a very long time. While I dont find much difference in spin generation between strings, I do notice the power and the jump the ball has off the racquet with this string vs others.
